Vijay Inder Singla Wiki/Bio
In 1987, Vijay Inder Singla completed his matriculation at Yadavindra Public School in Patiala, and in 1989, he completed his intermediate at Multani Mal Modi College in Patiala. He graduated with B.M.S. College of Engineering in Bangalore, Karnataka, with a Bachelor of Engineering degree in Computer Science.
His political career started with the Punjab Youth Congress, where he served as general secretary from 2002 to 2004 and later as vice-president. He was appointed chairman of the Punjab Energy Development Authority (PEDA) afther his father death.
From 2006 to 2008, he served as President of the Punjab Youth Congress, and was tasked with organising the first Youth Congress elections in Punjab as a pilot project, which was then repeated throughout India. He was appointed to the Indian Youth Congress Election Commission (2010-2012), which was in charge of organising Youth Congress elections across India in order to recognise new grassroot talent. He is a close confidant of Rahul Gandhi’s team.
He was elected to the Lok Sabha from Sangrur in 2009. Sukhdev Singh Dhindsa of the Shiromani Akali Dal was defeated by more than 40000 votes in the Lok Sabha. Vijay Inder Singla is introducing big development projects to this backward area during his first term as MP.
