Jasmin WagnerWiki/Bio

Jasmin Wagner is a German singer and actress who specializes in pop and dance music. Despite the fact that she publishes her English-language CDs under the name Blossom, her German stage name “Blümchen” literally translates as “floret” or “little flower.” Blümchen began her musical career in 1995 when she was only 15 and hasn’t looked back since.

She went on to become the most successful female vocalist in Germany during the 1990s. She has also released singles and albums in other German-speaking nations, Scandinavia, Asia, and the United States. The first release was the debut studio album Herzfrequenz in 1996, preceded by the chart-topping single “Herz a Herz,” a cover rendition of a Paso Doble song.

This was followed by the singles “Kleiner Satellit (Piep, Piep),” “Boomerang,” and “Du und ich,” all of which went on to become chart-toppers. In 1996, Wagner recorded her first English-language song, which was also the sole single released under the Blümchen and Blossom moniker, a cover version of Queen’s “Bicycle Race,” which was published in 1996.

When Herzfrequenz was released, it paved the way for Wagner’s international career to take off, as evidenced by his subsequent release of the studio album Heartbeat, which contained both the German and English versions of “Herz a Herz” and “Du und ich,” as well as the singles “Heart to Heart” and “You and me.” “Bicycle Race” was also included on a Queen tribute cover compilation album named Queen Dance Traxx I, which also included the ensemble cast song “We are the Champions,” which was identified as Acts United and performed by the group Acts United.

The next year, Wagner released her second studio album Verliebt… alongside its English-language counterpart In Love…, which she performed under the stage name Blossom. The Nena cover “Nur geträumt,” “Verrückte Jungs,” and “Gib mir noch Zeit” have all been released as singles from Verliebt.. (“Just a dream” and “Give me more Time” as Blossom).

In later years, the album Verliebt… was re-released under the title “Die Fan edition,” which had a revamped cover art as well as an additional medley and a new song, “Sesam-Jam (der, die, das),” which samples the Sesame Street theme from the German versions of the song. She released her eponymous third studio album, Jasmin, in 1998, which includes the singles “Blaue Augen,” “Ich bin wieder here,” a rendition of a Rozalla song, and “Es ist vorbei,” in addition to a number of other songs. as the Ideal cover “Ich bin wieder hier.

” The album represents a gradual transition away from the cheerful hardcore vibe toward a more pop and dance feel. As a member of the ensemble Bravo All-Stars, she also contributed to the charity record “Let The Music Heal Your Soul,” which was released in 1998.

When Jasmin was reissued in 1999, it had updated cover art as well as two new tracks, the singles “Heute ist mein Tag” and “Tu es mon île,” which was a French-language version of the song “Du bist die Insel,” which had previously appeared on the Verliebt… album. Wagner released her first and only live album, “Live in Berlin,” in the same year, which included a previously unreleased song, the Christmas single “Unter’m Weihnachtsbaum,” which became her signature tune.

Wagner’s fourth studio album Die Welt gehört dir was released in 2000, and it contains the singles “Is deine Liebe echt?” (Is deine Liebe echt? ), “Die Welt gehört mir” (Die Welt gehört mir), and “Ich vermisse dich,” the last of which served as her farewell single as Blümchen to bring the chapter to a close. Before ceasing to create music under the moniker Blümchen, the best hits compilation album Für Immer und Ewig, which includes a previously unreleased song, the promotional single “Es ist die vorbei,” featuring Swedish musician E-Type, has been made available for purchase.

Wagner also participated in the charity song “Die Stadt mit der Nase in Wind” in 2001 as a member of the supergroup Hamburg Allstars, which was released to benefit the Hamburg Children’s Hospital. With the song “Are you Ready for some Darkness?” she performed on a Norwegian rock band’s Turbonegro tribute cover album Alpha Motherfuckers, which included Die rzte member Bela B.’s vocals on the track “Are you Ready for some Darkness.”

During the same year, Wagner released her first and only promotional single under her given name, the Christmas song “Santa Claus Is Comin’ to Town,” a rendition of an Eddie Cantor original. The single was only available at Tchibo stores and could only be purchased through them. Wagner has also dabbled in acting, making cameo roles in a number of films, most notably in the 2001 film Driven, which starred Sylvester Stallone and in which he played a race car aficionado.

Having taken a temporary vacation from the music industry, Wagner returned in 2003, signing a new record deal with Polydor and releasing the single “Leb Deinen Traum” from her upcoming fifth studio album. Wagner is also known by her stage name Jasmin Wagner. A moderate hit, the song reached #24 on the German Singles Chart and was used as the theme song for the German talent program Popstars – Das Duell. The video for the song was released in 2013.

Career

Wagner worked with a host of well-known German musicians and songwriters, including Inga Humpe, Peter Plate, and Uwe Fahrenkrog-Petersen, as part of her new orientation towards more mature pop-rock sounds. Plate’s second single, “Heroes like us” was published in 2004 and was penned by him. When Wagner played these two singles at Happy Family in 2004 in Mannheim he had other new songs like “Erster Tag,” “Sonne inside me,” “Schmetterling,” “Lieblingslied,” and “Hellwach” and old favorites joined him.

Oldenburg has been setting for several of her songs, including “Wann wenn nicht jetzt,” “Frei,” and “Das Meer ruft meinen Namen.” [Having experienced a delay in annexing a record and becoming uncomfortable with the direction that the record has been placing, Wagner decided to stop her untitled studio album release. Nevertheless, the “Schmetterling” studio recording was able to make it to the Internet.

In 2004 Wagner continued to appear in albums, including Best of Mania with the Olivia Newton-John cover “Hopelessly dedicated to you” and Your Stars for Christmas featuring “Der Kleine Stern,” a German-speaking cover of Ciro Dammicco’s “Soleado” (Soleado). In 2005, Wagner appeared on a Best of Mania album featuring the Olivia Newton-John cover.

Devoted to You.” As well as singing “The Love of My Life,” Wagner performed the title song for the motion picture’s soundtrack, 7 Zwerge – Männer allein im Wald. Wagner released her first and only studio album as Jasmin Wagner in 2005, while still signed to Polydor. The album was titled Die Versuchung. The musical style of the album is more chanson-inspired, swing-inspired, and retro 1960s pop-inspired.

There’s a single called “Männer brauchen Liebe” on it, as well as a double A-Side single with the songs “Komm schon werd’ wütend” and “Morgen, wenn Ich weg bin.” The album was a commercial failure, peaking at number five on the German Album Charts for only five weeks, prompting Polydor to discontinue distribution of it. Wagner also starred as Maxi in the 2007 gangster comedy Breath, in which he played the part of Maxi.

Wagner resurfaced as Blümchen in 2019, following a break, and released her first new single, “Computerliebe,” which was once again a cover rendition of a Paso Doble song. Wagner had previously re-recorded a new version of her breakthrough hit “Herz und Herz” with Ray Kuba, which was remixed by the band Marquess, earlier in the year. She recorded the verses from the Paso Doble original version for this CD, which were not included in the 1995 version of the song.

On the 2019 single “(You Made the) Summer Go Away,” she worked with David Hasselhoff, who co-wrote the song. Wagner had her first comeback performance as Blümchen in March 2019 in front of a crowd of 60,000 people at the Veltins Arena in Gelsenkirchen, Germany, following many years of requests from fans around the world. Jasmin was completely taken aback by the enthusiastic response she received. She expressed her delight following the performance in a message to the BILD newspaper.

“I had a feeling it was going to be really fantastic. However, it was just incredible. It was incredible to be able to sing along with 60,000 other individuals.” The comeback of Jasmin as Blümchen proved to be in high demand, as tour dates continued to pile up at a rapid pace, and she ended up performing in an extra 22 performances in Germany in 2019.

Wagner has signed a new record agreement with the German label Schubert Music, which will be released in 2020. It was under the stage name Jasmin Wagner that she recorded her new album Von Herzen, which was published on July 23, 2021and intended to “present her new electro-schlager style,” which was mixed with a “contemporary, danceable schlager sound,” according to a label spokesman.

The album peaked at number 6 on Germany’s official Top 100 Album Chart, which was released in November. Von Herzen’s first single, “Gold,” was released on April 20, 2021, and was the band’s first single overall. In Germany, the song had a moderate hit, peaking at #42 on the Official Singles Download Chart and #10 on the Schlager Charts, respectively.

“Herzalarm,” a duet with rapper FiNCH, has been confirmed, with a release date of June 25, 2021, set for release. The song was a top-10 smash for both performers, peaking at number 7 on Germany’s Official Single Charts in its first week out. This was Wagner’s highest chart position in the German Singles Chart since her single “Boomerang” re-entered the chart at #7 in 2010, which was also her highest chart position in the previous year.

Wagner set a new chart record with the success of “Herzalarm,” making her one of the few German solo female artists (together with Nena) to have top-40 hit songs in four successive decades as a result of the song’s success. She had 14 top-40 singles in the 1990s, 2 singles (“Leb Deinen Traum” and “Is Deine Liebe Echt?”) in the early 2000s, and “Boomerang” at number 7 in 2010.

With “Herzalarm,” Wagner achieved her 18th top-40 single placement on the German Singles Chart, surpassing her previous best of number 7 in 2010. The singer has also confirmed further tour dates for 2021, including two shows in Sweden and one in Norway, where her song “Heut’ Ist Mein Tag” peaked at number one on the Norwegian singles chart in 1999.

The release of her “Best Of” album “Fuer Immer Und Ewig – das Beste von Blümchen” was the end of her career as German pop florist Jasmin Wagner’s flowers. The first album was released. From 1995 to 2000, 17 individuals and 5 albums in the Media Control charts were the now 21-year-old star. Worldwide sales amounted to 30 million singles and copies of albums. She has been the most successful German pop artist of the nineties looking back on 5 Top 10 individuals, 14 further Top 20 songs, 2 gold Albums, 2 ECHO Awards, and many more (including a number of BRAVO Otto Awards).
