Timothy Dean Sweeney is a businessman and video game programmer born in the United States in 1970. He is the founder of Epic Games, where he also serves as CEO and the developer of Unreal Engine, one of the most popular platforms for game production. He has contributed to preserving natural resources by purchasing significant tracts of property in North Carolina. Sweeney was the youngest of three brothers and grew up in Potomac, Maryland.
