Sara Evans Wiki/Bio

Sara Lynn Evans is a singer and songwriter from the United States. She was born on February 5, 1971, and her name is Sara Lynn Evans. She is also a singer, actress, and author. Six million albums have been sold and five singles have topped the Billboard country music charts, and she’s had five of them reach number one.

Among the top ten Billboard country songs are “I Couldn’t Ask for More,” “I Keep Looking,” and “Cheatin’.” In the top 20 songs on the charts, “Saints and Angels,” “Backseat of Greyhound Bus,” and “As If” are some of her best-known songs. She has been given awards by both the Academy of Country Music and the Country Music Association, both of which are very important. In both groups, she’s up for Female Vocalist of the Year and Single of the Year for both of these awards.

When Evans was young, she and her siblings formed a band called The Evans Family Band. During her childhood and early teen years, the group played in her neighbourhood. Evans and her older brother Matt started their own band when they were teenagers. In 1991, they moved to Nashville, Tennessee, to try to get a job in country music, and they started their own record company.

Evans met her first husband, Craig Schelske, in Nashville. They moved to Oregon for a short time before coming back to Nashville again, where they lived for a while. Evans found work as a demo vocalist when she returned to Nashville. This led to RCA Records signing her to a recording deal. The album she made in 1997 was called Three Chords and the Truth. Afterwards, there was No Place That Far (1998), which had a second song called “No Place That Far” that went to number one on the Billboard country charts.

Evans had a lot of success with her albums Born to Fly (2000), Restless (2003), and Real Fine Place (2003) in the early 2000s (2005). “Born to Fly,” “Suds in the Bucket,” and “A Real Fine Place to Start” each sold more than one million copies in the country. On Dancing With the Stars, Evans competed before he left. Evans was on Dancing With the Stars from 2006 to 2007.

As time went on, Evans took a break from making music to spend more time with her family.  With her sixth album, Stronger, she started over in 2011. It was at the top of the charts for two weeks. Evans started her own record label after Slow Me Down came out. Evans left RCA and started her own record label after that (2014). Words, her first album, came out in 2017 by the label.

Booneville is where Evans was born. His parents were Pat and Jack Evans and he was brought up in New Franklin by them.  She was born in a hospital (which also included her half siblings after her mother remarried). The Evans family grew up on a 400-acre farm that had a lot of different crops and animals.

As a child, her mother worked as a school bus driver and her father worked as a pressman for the Columbia Daily Tribune newspaper in order to make money. They noticed that Evans was good at singing after they saw her sing with her two older brothers who were taking guitar lessons. It inspired Evans’ mother to start a band called The Evans Family Band with her siblings.

Evans started singing lead vocals when she was six years old. She joined the band and started singing when she was seven. She went on to learn how to play the guitar, mandolin, and drums, as well as how to play them. Evans found a job as a breakfast server at another Holiday Inn restaurant when he came to Nashville after living there for a long time. It was in the restaurant where her first husband, who worked at the Holiday Inn, met her.

After starting to date in 1992, the two moved to Oregon for a short time to be with each other. It was called Sara Evans & North Santiam in Oregon, and that was the name of her band there. Their marriage took place while they were living in Oregon. The two lived there for three years before moving back to Nashville in the mid-1990s. Evans got a job as a demo singer because her lawyer helped her get the job done.

It was one of the demos she made for Patty Loveless. She did a cover of Buck Owens’ “I’ve Got a Tiger by the Tail,” and it was meant to be for her at first. songwriter Harlan Howard heard Evans’ tape and fell in love with her country singing style.

Howard got people at RCA Records to listen to Evans play. Evans sang three songs in front of RCA CEO Joe Galante in person. Evans joined RCA Records the same day. She agreed, and the label offered her a deal for seven albums. When Evans left RCA in February 2016, she had worked with the company for all of her recording years.

Evans joined Sugar Hill Records after he signed a new recording deal with Concord Music Group in August of that year. In the end, Evans decided to end his contract with the label after it was restructured. As Chrisley Knows Best came to a close, Evans was seen on USA Network that year. “Infinite Love” was a new song that she sang. Todd Chrisley, a cast member on the show, sang the song as a duet with someone else.

On Billboard’s country chart, the duo released a single in 2016. It made it to the top 40.

Evan, her siblings, and the Chrisley family were all on Celebrity Family Feud’s season finale in 2016. Evans and her siblings played against the Chrisley family. Evans was tired of the way country radio didn’t support female artists.

Career

When she wrote her memoir, “No one seemed to recognise any of my earlier success, which I had worked for years to achieve.” Evans came up with the idea for her own record label, Born to Fly Records, because she was tired of the other labels. The label and Sony RED worked together to sell the label’s songs.

In July of 2017, Words, her tenth studio album, came out. Every single song on the album was written by women. People at AllMusic say that “words is a sharp and pleasant contrast to the busy digital world.”

AP’s Mark Kennedy said that the album “has never sounded so good when it comes to art freedom.” Words came in at number four on the Billboard country albums chart and number 46 on the Billboard 200. Despite a lot of advertising, the album’s first track, “Marquee Sign,” didn’t make the charts.

Evans made an EP called The Barker Family Band with the help of her son and daughter in 2019. Evans and her daughters sang songs by Aretha Franklin and Fleetwood Mac as part of the project. The City Winery in Nashville, Tennessee, was used to make a live CD that people can listen to now.

During May of this year, both of these projects went on a five-show tour to promote them. After a few years of working on his ninth album, Copy That, which came out in May of 2020. The project was a collection of covers of well-known country and mainstream songs from different decades.

A lot of people didn’t like the album. It’s a clever title for a cover album, but it also raises the question of whether these new cover versions are just copies of the original, says Stephen Thomas Erlewine of AllMusic.

When Country Standard Time’s Jeffrey B. Remz wrote about it, he said it was “just too sweet.” Evans will write a biography about her life and work in September 2020. Howard Books is the company that makes the book. Evans did the same thing with 2005’s Real Fine Place, which changed the genre back to its country roots. Jacquilynne Schlesier, a writer, said that Evans was a “obvious choice” to lead the march because her first album was well-received.

Real Fine Place is sure to be a hit with classic country fans because of Evans’ powerful voice and the album’s message that simple things in life are the most real. With the changes in the genre, Evans’ music changed as well. It became more pop and rock-like.

Modern country music has changed a lot in terms of how it’s made and how it’s written, AllMusic’s Thom Jurek said when he wrote a review of Stronger from 2011. Evans says that she has been paying attention even though she has had both good and bad things happen in her life.

As NPR’s Ken Tucker puts it, Evans “has found a new undercurrent of steely firmness that has only strengthened her singing on her last album, 2011’s Stronger, and this new one [2014’s] Slow Me Down.” Evans likes pop music and has become more comfortable singing it in her older years, NPR says.

Evans tried new things after leaving RCA Records, most notably on the album Copy That, which came out in 2020. Evans: “For the first time in my career, I didn’t feel like I had to stay in a certain genre.” Evans’ voice has been praised by both writers and critics because it is so strong. This is what people have said.

“Sara Evans is a singer with a big voice who knows how to use it,” NPR’s Ken Tucker said. If she wants to make a song more emotional, she doesn’t usually try to make it longer or jump between different registers. “As Emily Yahr of the Washington Post wrote in her review of a live show, Evans’ “crystal clear powerful twang,” which she said was “powerful.”

Evans has a unique way of singing, say other journalists. “She has a voice that is instantly recognisable,” says John Bush of AllMusic. Evans has had a very successful career because of the songs she chooses and because her voice is so well-known. The Boot said that.

People magazine interviewed John Hollins, Sr. in October 2006, and Hollins talked about Evans’ divorce claims. Schelske sued Hollins and his company for “slander, false light, and other damages.”

“My business and I helped Sara Evans get a divorce from Craig Schelske… to the best of my ability.” In no way did my actions on Sara Evans’ behalf hurt Mr. Schelske, and he was not hurt by them. ” During a public statement, Schelske thanked God, family, and friends for their support. “Sara is not my enemy. Hollins is the one who did this,” she said.

Evans first met her second husband, Jay Barker, when she went to a marriage counsellor for help with her marriage. In 2007, the two started sending each other emails, and soon after, they started to go out together. Barker was a quarterback for the University of Alabama, a national champion, and the host of a radio show now, but he used to play for them. When they married on June 14, 2008, their children were there with them.

During times when both families were together, Barker shared custody of four children with his ex-wife, which made seven children. “We’re really a family.” We don’t think of them as mixed; they’re just our kids. However, we know what each of us is supposed to do. Sara’s kids father will be their father if I’m around when he is. Barker said this back in 2011.
