PrettyMuch is a Los Angeles, California-based American-Canadian pop and R&B boy band. Brandon Arreaga, Edwin Honoret, Austin Porter, Nick Mara, and Zion Kuwonu are members of the band, which was founded by Simon Cowell in 2016.
PRETTYMUCH’s members were all pursuing separate careers when Simon Cowell and Sonny Takhar decided to bring them together and establish a band. PRETTYMUCH has been based in Los Angeles since 2016, where they all reside together while recording their debut album.

PrettyMuch’s members were pursuing solo careers when Simon Cowell, the founder of Syco Music, and Sonny Takhar, the former president of the label, decided to bring them together. Since March 18, 2016, the members of PrettyMuch have been stationed in Los Angeles, where they have shared a residence and worked on their dance skills while also recording their debut EP.
PrettyMuch achieved social media notoriety in 2017 with their cover songs and dancing videos, which included a cover of Charlie Puth’s “Attention” and Michael Jackson and Bruno Mars choreographed tributes. On January 17, PrettyMuch played “Open Arms” and “No More” on MTV’s Total Request Live. On April 19, 2018, they released their debut EP, PRETTYMUCH an EP, which included their single “10,000 Hours.”
They released “Summer On You,” a summer single written by Ed Sheeran and produced by Steve Mac, on June 21, 2018. They also performed it on James Corden’s Late Late Show. The quartet performed on the Push Artist Stage at the 2018 MTV Video Music Awards on August 20, 2018. On October 17, 2018, they released “Real Friends” to promote their fall tour, the Funktion Tour, and on December 14, 2018, they released “Jello,” which was backed by an official video. On January 25, 2019, the album “Blind” (stylized as “BLiND”) was released.
On April 26, they released their second song of the year, “Phases,” along with a music video featuring model Justine Mae Biticon. In the month of May, PrettyMuch announced the release of their second EP a week later. Brandon Arreaga wrote and produced “Gone 2 Long,” which the band released on May 20.
The Phases – EP, the group’s second EP, was released on May 24, 2019. The EP includes six songs: two previously released tracks (“Phases” and “Gone 2 Long”), as well as four new tracks titled “Eyes Off You,” “Temporary Heart,” “4U,” and “One Shot.”PrettyMuch was musically dormant for the entirety of 2020, despite remaining active on social media, following a year of increased participation in their music.
Later that year, it was reported that the band’s record label, Syco Music, had been disbanded. PrettyMuch confirmed their signing to Sire Records in December 2020.They started hinting their return to releasing music on their own label.
