Michel Bernard Goulet is a Canadian retired professional ice hockey forward who played for the Birmingham Bulls in the World Hockey Association, as well as for the Quebec Nordiques and the Chicago Blackhawks in the National Hockey League. Goulet was born on April 21, 1960, and his full name is Michel Bernard Goulet. In addition to that, he won the Canada Cup twice while playing for Team Canada. In 1998, he was honored by being inducted into the Hockey Hall of Fame.

During the 1978–1979 season, Goulet’s first year as a professional hockey player, he played for the Birmingham Bulls of the World Hockey Association (WHA). During that season, he scored 28 goals and 58 points. Goulet was ruled eligible for the 1979 entry draft and was picked up by the Quebec Nordiques. This came about as a result of the merger between the NHL and the WHA. During the 1980s, Goulet was one of the most productive goal scorers in the National Hockey League.

Beginning with the 1982–1983 season, he scored at least 50 goals in the following four seasons and emerged as one of the team’s central figures alongside the Stastny twins. During the 1989–1990 season, the Nordiques ended with a record of 12 wins, 61 defeats, and the seventies, and they were eliminated from postseason play for the second season in a row.

The Chicago Blackhawks acquired Everett Sanipass, Dan Vincelette, and Mario Doyon in exchange for Goulet. Also included in the deal were goaltender Greg Millen and a sixth-round selection in the 1991 NHL entry draft. Goulet had a severe concussion after crashing into the end boards at the Montreal Forum on March 16, 1994. The collision caused him to hit his head and resulted in the severity of the injury. Shortly after the event, Goulet resigned from the National Hockey League as a direct consequence of the occurrence.

On March 16, 1995, precisely one year after Goulet’s career-ending injury, his number 16, which he wore throughout his most productive years with the Nordiques, was retired by the team in front of a big crowd at le Colisée de Québec, where he had played his home games. Alongside his longtime friend and former teammate Peter “As,” he was inducted into the Hockey Hall of Fame in 1998. He played 1089 games in the NHL and had 548 goals and 604 assists for 1152 points.

Although Goulet was never a winner of the Stanley Cup during his time as a player, he was the director of player personnel for the Colorado Avalanche when they won the cup in 1996 and 2001. Goulet served as a scout with the Calgary Flames of the National Hockey League up to the conclusion of the 2015–2016 season. At the beginning of the 2017–18 season, the Anaheim Ducks hired him on as a member of their scouting staff. The week before last, two renowned French-Canadian players from the National Hockey League sat on a bench in the locker room of South Suburban Ice Arena, getting ready to play the game that they liked.

In his debut season with Quebec of the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League, Goulet had 35 points (17 goals, 18 assists) in 37 games. Goulet returned with a breakthrough performance in 1977–1978, collecting 73 goals and 135 points to lead the club in all categories. At that moment, he decided to forego his remaining two seasons of junior eligibility and signed with Birmingham of the World Hockey Association. During his time with Birmingham, he scored 28 goals, had 30 assists, and totaled 58 points for the team.

One year to the day after the accident, the Nordiques retired Michel’s number 16 in front of a big audience at le Colisée de Québec, where he had spent his most fruitful years as a player. With his old colleague Peter Stastny, he was honored by being inducted into the Hockey Hall of Fame in 1998. Even though Michel was never a winner of the Stanley Cup as a player, he was the director of player personnel for the Colorado Avalanche when they won the Cup in 1996 and 2001.

In 2012, the World Hockey Association recognized him as one of the “Legends of the Game” and received induction into their Hall of Fame. One thing is putting out a list of the top players in National Hockey League history. However, it seems too simple. Instead, we will go through the alphabet one letter at a time and then rank the players from best to worst according to the first letter of their last name.

Most players would look at a career with five seasons with 30 goals scored and consider it a good run. Gartner has seasons with at least 30 goals for five clubs, including the Capitals, the North Stars, the Rangers, the Maple Leafs, and the Coyotes. He has 15 consecutive 30-goal seasons, tied for the record in NHL history. When he finally made it to the NHL, he continued showing his worth there. Geoffrion was the first player in NHL history to score 50 goals and win the Hart Trophy in a single season (1961) when he also won six Stanley Cups. He finished his career with 393 goals in the NHL and added 58 more in the playoffs.

The most valuable player in the National Hockey League (NHL) is an award hotly contested for election each year. Many of the players awarded the Hart Trophy undeniably deserve the distinction; nevertheless, despite having fantastic careers, many other players have been relegated to the role of bridesmaids. Some of the most talented players in the NHL have never taken home the trophy to which they were entitled. The winner of the Hart Trophy throughout certain times, such as the 1980s and 1990s, was often referred to as “The Great One” or “Super Mario.”

The decades of the 1960s and 1970s were ruled by Gordie Howe, Bobby Hull, and Bobby Orr in the sport of ice hockey. These individuals were giants of the period they played, but other famous players performed very well in supporting roles and deserved MVP honors. These 25 players did not have the accolade taken away, but they were never regarded as the most talented in any season. These legendary figures have already been inducted into the Hall of Fame or have a spot reserved because of their tremendous impact on the sport.
