Leann Rimes Wiki/Bio

Wilbur Rimes and Belinda Butler have a daughter named LeAnn Rimes. She has two brothers and a sister. She has showed the ability to sing in high pitch since she was 18 months old, and it is for this reason that her parents put her in vocal training sessions. After her family relocated to Garland, Texas, when she was 6, she continued to pursue her musical interests, performing in her first local performance at the age of 6.

The opportunity to perform in a performance of ‘A Christmas Carol’ in Dallas presented itself to her. With her performance on the network television competition show Star Search, she made the decision to pursue a career in country music and has not looked back. During this same period, she also made a number of appearances on the television show ‘Johnnie High’s Country Music Revue.

The amount of media exposure that Rimes received at a young age led to her being a seasoned professional vocalist by the age of nine. She began to sing a cappella renditions of “The Star Spangled Banner” during Dallas Cowboys football games, and she has continued to do so. She travelled with her father across the country to participate in various musical efforts, and by 1991, he had begun recording under the independent label ‘Nor Va Jak.’

She was a member of the Nor Va Jak band. It was under this guise that she published three albums till 1996. In 2000, Rimes filed a lawsuit against her father, alleging that he defrauded her of approximately $7 million dollars while serving as her record label’s manager at the time.

The action was settled outside of court, and she and her ex-husband ultimately repaired their differences. Rimes fell in love with dancer Dean Sheremet during the time she was surrounded by court disputes, and the two were married in 2002. They met at the Academy of Country Music Awards event, but their marriage only lasted seven years before it was called off by divorce.

Rimes tied the knot with actor Eddie Cibrian in 2011, after meeting him on the production of the film ‘Northern Lights.’ When she first met him, Cibrian was still married, and he had only been married for 8 years when he decided to marry Rimes.

Margaret LeAnn Rime Cibrian, better known by her stage name LeAnn Rimes, is an American country and pop singer, songwriter, novelist, and actor who rose to fame at the age of fourteen, becoming one of the country music industry’s most promising young stars.

She is the mother of two children. Although Rimes began her career at an early age––taking vocal lessons at the age of five and performing locally in Texas theatres and cable television shows––her breakthrough came with her first studio album, ‘Blue,’ for which she was nominated for two Grammy Awards.

In the beginning, she specialised in country music, but she eventually expanded her repertoire to include adult contemporary, pop, and rock, and the majority of her albums are a fusion of all of these genres. Because of the similarities in their musical and vocal styles, she has been compared to the famed country singer Patsy Cline; some music experts regard her work to be a legacy to Cline’s singing career.

Rimes is not just a vocalist, but she is also a published novelist, having written her first fictional novel when she was 15 years old, as well as two children’s novels. She made her acting debut in the film ‘Coyote Ugly’ and sang the theme song for the film ‘Can’t Stop the Moonlight,’ which catapulted her to international fame and established her as a well-known celebrity around the world.

Mack’s strategy was based on a song he had composed in the 1960s called “Blue,” which served as the foundation for his strategy. Mack stated that he had composed the song specifically for Cline, but that she had died before she had the opportunity to record it.

The rest of 1995 saw Rimes’ career continue to take off, as she played more than 100 concerts and made appearances on television shows around the state of Texas. After Mack arranged for Rimes to sign a recording contract with Curb Records, the label issued a press release announcing the release of the single “Blue,” claiming that the DJ had been searching for the right vocalist for the song for more than 30 years.

In reality, “Blue” had been recorded by no fewer than three distinct musicians, including Bill Mack and Kenny Roberts, both of whom issued versions of the song on Starday in the 1960s, and Kathryn Pitt, who released the song as a single in her native Australia in 1993, was not a fabrication.

Nonetheless, the narrative was repeated throughout the country and in the mainstream music press, contributing to the growing idea that Rimes was the heir apparent to Cline’s history of songwriting excellence. During the summer of 1996, the single “Blue” and the accompanying album of the same name became huge hits.

Career

When Blue was released, it debuted at number three on the pop charts and sold over 123,000 copies in its first week of release, making it the most successful album in the history of the SoundScan tracking system to that point. Rimes was nominated for the Country Music Association Horizon Award as well as the CMA Best Country Singer award, making her the youngest artist in the history of the CMA Prizes to earn a nomination.

However, she was unsuccessful in her bids for both awards. It was 1998 that she released her second full-length album, Sitting on Top of the World, following the publication of two quickie albums in 1997, Unchained Melody: Her self-titled third studio album was released a year later, and I Need You was released in early 2001, making her the most successful female artist in the world. Twisted Angel was released the following year, and Rimes made her pop-oriented debut the following year, before returning to modern country with This Woman in 2005.

Whatever We Wanna, her 2006 album, finds her returning to mainstream music after a decade away from it. It was only available in Europe. With the gospel rave-up “Ready for a Miracle,” she launched the Evan Almighty soundtrack in 2007. She also contributed vocals to Hal Ketchum’s tune “In Front of the Alamo,” and she began advertising her second studio album, Family, with the single “Nothing Better to Do.”

When Rimes wasn’t on the road with Kenny Chesney in 2008, she was recording Lady & Gentlemen, an album produced by Vince Gill and Darrell Brown that was released in 2011. The album has classic country songs redone from a female perspective. Over the next few years, Rimes continued to work on Spitfire, the album that would serve as the culmination of her relationship with Curb Records and her final release.

It was originally scheduled to be released in 2012, but the release date was moved back to 2013. It eventually became available on digital services in May, and then was made available in physical form in June. Spitfire premiered (and peaked) at number 36 on the Billboard charts and produced no singles in its lifetime.

With the release of Today Is Christmas in the fall of 2015, the holiday EP project evolved into a full-length holiday LP, which was released in the fall of 2014. Remnants was released in the United Kingdom in October 2016, and the album was released in the United States in February 2017.

“Borrowed,” which featured a duet with Stevie Nicks, was included on Rimes’ 2018 EP Re-Imagined, which gave new interpretations of previously released tunes by the singer. Towards the end of the year, she appeared in and contributed to the soundtrack of the holiday film It’s Christmas, Eve. When Rimes released her second studio album, CHANT: The Human & the Holy (2020), she looked inward, drawing inspiration from personal mantras and inner travels. She worked with Aloe Blacc on the song “I Do,” which was released as the first single off her album God’s Work in early 2021.

In 2008, she spoke up about her lifelong battle with psoriasis, an inflammatory illness that affects the skin. She took part in a public service announcement to raise awareness about the condition. As part of her attempts to increase awareness and acceptance about the condition on World Psoriasis Day in 2020, Rimes posed for a naked picture shoot for Glamour magazine after experiencing a stress-related flare-up of the disease (observed October 29).

Rimes provided the vocals for the song “Just Stand Up,” which was released in 2008. Stand Up to Cancer received a portion of the earnings. SU2C fundraising efforts resulted in the SU2C scientific advisory committee, which is controlled by the American Association for Cancer Research, being able to award $73.6 million in cancer research grants.

Her performance of “The Rose,” with The Homosexual Men’s Chorus of Los Angeles, took place on December 19, 2010, in honour of the numerous gay teenagers who committed themselves in 2010. On June 18, 2011, she posted the following on her blog: “I believe that everyone should be treated equally. I believe that everyone should be able to love and commit to whomever they choose without fear of being rejected.

It is only in God’s eyes that we are all the same, that I am certain. I just wish we could see things more clearly through God’s perspective more often.” Rimes has volunteered her time and resources to a variety of charities, organisations, and foundations during the course of her career. Beginning in 2007, Rimes has hosted the Colgate Country Showdown, a nationally broadcast country music talent competition akin to American Idol or Nashville Star that has been running since 2007.

When Texaco became the concert’s sponsor in 2011, Rimes presented the show for the fifth year in a row, marking her longest run as a presenter. A year later, in 2020, Rimes competed as the character “Sun” on the fourth season of Fox’s reality singing competition The Masked Singer.

Her identity was revealed during the season finale, which took place on December 16, 2020, and during which she was crowned the season’s champion. The following season, she appeared as a guest panellist in the season five finale, where she also performed her song “How Do I Live” with the cast members “Chameleon”, “Black Swan,” and “Piglet” while Rimes stood behind them in her “Sun” costume.
