Kim Fields Wiki/Bio

Kim Fields was born in Harlem, New York, on May 12, 1969. Laverne ‘Chip’ Fields, her mother, is an actress and television director. Alexis Fields, her younger sister, is also an accomplished actress. Kim’s parents split when she was a child. She and her mother relocated to California when she was a child.

Kim Fields made her first television appearance when she was five years old. She starred as ‘Angie’ in the sitcom ‘Baby, I’m Back.’ However, the show was short-lived, and Kim Fields did not create an impression. When Kim was seven years old, she starred in a television commercial for Mrs. Butterworth’s Pancake Syrup. She also appeared as a friend of Janet Jackson’s character Penny Woods in two episodes of the sitcom “Good Times” in 1978.

Kim graduated from Burbank High School in 1986. She was a gifted student who received the title of “Most Talented” in 1986. She was a member of the school’s baseball team and also acted in school musicals.

Kim Victoria Fields Freeman Morgan is an actress and filmmaker from the United States. Fields are best remembered for her appearances on the NBC sitcom The Facts of Life (1979–1988) and the Fox sitcom Living Single (1993–1998) as Dorothy “Tootie” Ramsey. She is presently starring in The Upshaws, a Netflix original series. Fields is the older sister of actress Alexis Fields (born 1979), who is best known for her appearances on Kenan & Kel, Moesha, and Sister, Sister.

Career

Will Smith faked to marry Fields in an attempt to seduce her in a 1993 episode of The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air.  From 1993 through 1998, Fields played Regina “Regine” Hunter in the hit Fox sitcom Living Single. Fields began performing rap music after the discontinuation of Living Single.

Fields began directing after graduating from Pepperdine University with a degree in filmmaking. Fields directed several episodes of the Kenan & Kel spin-off, in which she also featured in two episodes.  She directed Tyler Perry’s Meet the Browns, Tyler Perry’s House of Payne, and BET’s Let’s Stay Together, among other sitcoms.

Fields featured as herself on HBO’s The Comeback and appeared as a guest star on UPN’s One on One and The Golden Palace. Fields was reunited with her co-star Lisa Whelchel on WFAA-Good TV’s Morning Texas on February 1, 2007.

 

Whelchel was introduced as a surprise guest while Fields was in Dallas promoting her role in the show Issues: We’ve All Got ‘Em. It was the first time a t Kim has collaborated on projects alongside her husband, Christopher Morgan. Holiday Love, a Christmas television show she produced and filmed with Christopher, aired in 2010. The entire show was shot in three days.

The second episode of Holiday Love aired for Christmas 2011 on TV One. Kim characterised the Christmas programme as soothing and therapeutic in an interview that provided background on Holiday Love.


It was revealed on August 18, 2015, that she would be joining the cast of Bravo’s The Real Housewives of Atlanta for its eighth season.  She revealed on March 21, 2016, that she would not be returning to the show for another season. Fields were confirmed as one of the celebrities competing on season 22 of Dancing with the Stars on March 8, 2016. From 1995 to 2001, Fields was married to film producer Johnathon Franklin Freeman.

On May 4, 2007, Fields gave birth to Sebastian Alexander Morgan, her first child with then-boyfriend, Broadway actor Christopher Morgan. The parents made their son’s debut in People magazine the following week. They married on July 23, 2007, in a private ceremony led by Pastor Donnie McClurkin.
