Julianne Hough was born on 20 July 1988 in Orem, Utah, United States. Her age is 32 years old. Marianne and Bruce Hough are her parents. Her father was the treasurer of the Republican Party of Utah twice. Her partner, Derek Hough, is also a dancer by trade. She also has three older sisters: Sharee, Katherine, and Marabeth. Hough’s ancestors were all four musicians. She’s also a second cousin of the R5 musicians Riker, Rydel, Rocky, and Ross Lynch, whose sisters are their maternal grandmothers.

Hough’s formal training started in Orem at the Center Stage Performing Arts Studio, where she performed in the Latin Ballroom with Josh Murillo, among others. At nine, she started dancing competitively. Julianne’s parents, who were divorced, sent Julianne and her brother Derek to London when she was 10, to live and work with their coaches, Corky and Shirley Ballas. Alongside their own sibling, Mark, the Ballases tutored the Houghs.

Hough and her brother were trained in music, theater, gymnastics, and many styles of dance, including jazz, ballet, and tap, at the Italia Conti Academy of Theatre Arts. Hough dated fellow country singer Chuck Wicks from August 2008 to November 2009; it inspired Hough’s song “Is That So Wrong” when the two had a mutual break-up. In the 2006 ABC game show called Show Me the Money, Hough was among the Million Dollar Dancers. With her partner, Olympic gold medal-winning speed skater Apolo Ohno, she won season four of the U.S. version of Dancing with the Stars, making Hough the youngest professional dancer on the show to win. Hough and her husband, three-time Indianapolis 500 champion Hélio Castroneves, became the champions of season five on November 27, 2007. Hough returned with radio host/comedian Adam Carolla for season six, but in week four, they were eliminated. In July 2008, for her mambo ‘Para Los Rumberos’ on Dancing with the Stars, Hough was nominated for the 60th Primetime Emmy Awards in the ‘Outstanding Choreography’ category.
