Jensen Ackles Wiki/Bio
Jensen Ackles was born in Dallas, Texas, to Donna Joan and actor Alan Roger Ackles on March 1, 1978. His descent is Irish-Scottish-English. He started acting as a part-time child model when he was just four years old.
In Richardson, Texas, he attended ‘Dartmouth Elementary School’ and then graduated from ‘L.V Berkner High School’ in 1996. He dreamt of practicing medicine for athletics. He wanted to study at ‘Texas Tech University’ in order to become a physical therapist. However, after he transferred to Los Angeles, his hopes were put on hold.
He married Danneel Harris, the actress from “One Tree Hill,” on May 15, 2010, following a three-year courtship. They have a daughter who was born on May 30, 2013, named JJ Ackles. The pair were both blessed in December 2016 with twins, a boy, and a daughter, named Zeppelin Bram and Arrow Rhodes.
Career
Ackles started working on an acting career in 1996, after modelling on and off since the age of four. Before joining the cast of the NBC soap opera Days of Our Lives as Eric Brady in 1997, he had guest roles on Mr. Rhodes, Sweet Valley High, and Cybill. For his performance on Days of Our Lives, he received a 1998 Soap Opera Digest Award for Best Male Newcomer and was nominated three times (in 1998, 1999, and 2000) for a Daytime Emmy Award for Outstanding Younger Actor in a Drama Series.
In 2005, Ackles joined the cast of the Supernatural series of WB horror/action shows where he stars as Dean Winchester. Dean and his brother Sam (Jared Padalecki) tour the country chasing paranormal predators, battling ghosts and angels, and spreading fantasy and science fiction pop culture. After 15 seasons, the show finished, making it the longest-running North American sci-fi series in history.
Ackles played Priestly in the indie comedy Ten Inch Hero in the summer of 2007. In early 2007, the film started reaching the film festival circuit and Ackles received high praise for his comic timing in the role. The movie was released on DVD exclusively by Blockbuster Home Video in February 2009. From June 5-10, 2007, he also appeared on stage as Lt. Daniel Kaffee with Lou Diamond Phillips in A Few Decent Men at the Casa Mañana Theatre in Fort Worth, Texas. Ackles recorded his first original single as a professional singer after years of singing at concerts, titled “Sounds of Someday,” which is the first track from his debut album. In 2018, Ackles joined to form the Radio Corporation with musician Steve Carlson. A debut album entitled Radio Company Vol. 1. was completed jointly by Ackles and Carlson.
