Whitney Duncan was born on the 3rd of August in the year 1984. He is a country music singer and songwriter from the United States. On the fifth season of Nashville Star, she came in fifth place out of a field of eight finalists. The singer-songwriter has released one studio album, charted on the United States Hot Country Songs chart with the singles “When I Said I Would” and “Skinny Dippin’,” as well as a Christmas single and made a guest appearance on a Kenny Rogers single, which was released prior to her Nashville Star appearance.

Duncan competed on the 23rd season of Survivor, Survivor: South Pacific, in the fall of 2011. She ended in ninth place, earning her a spot on the panel as the fourth member of the jury. When Duncan and her then-fiancé, fellow Survivor: South Pacific castaway Keith Tollefson, competed in the 25th season of The Amazing Race together in the fall of 2014, they finished in eighth place.

Duncan grew up as a first cousin of Holly Bobo, who was murdered in 2011 in a case that garnered widespread media attention. Holly Bobo was Duncan’s first cousin. Duncan was in a relationship with actor/musician Christian Kane from around 2006 to the beginning of 2010. She is mentioned in his 2010 song “American Made” as “a Tennessee Girl who will always have a place in my heart,” which is a tribute to her.

Duncan co-wrote the song “Making Circles” with her cousin Jonathan Singleton, which appears on Kane’s 2010 album, The House Rules, and was also performed by Kane. Duncan tied the knot with guitarist Donny Fallgatter on August 1, 2010, in Gatlinburg, Tennessee, after dating him for two months. The divorce between the pair was finalized in November 2011.

On February 14, 2013, she announced her engagement to Keith Tollefson. Duncan was married to Fallgatter at the time of their Survivor season, and the two had begun dating while on the show. Tollefson and Duncan were married in May 2014, and Duncan appeared on TLC’s Say Yes to the Dress, where she picked out a wedding dress for her upcoming wedding to Tollefson.

The two of them tied the knot in July of this year. She and Tollefson competed together as the engaged pair on The Amazing Race 25, the fourth team eliminated by Shelley and Nici’s mother/daughter on the fifth leg of the course and finished in eighth place. Duncan obtained a recording contract with a label during her senior year of high school, and she recorded a couple of songs she had written for the label.

One of these songs was “My World Is Over,” which was later recorded as a duet with Kenny Rogers and released as a single on his 42 Ultimate Hits compilation album. In July 2004, a song featuring their duet was released, and it spent one week at the top of the Billboard Hot Country Songs list. Following that, Duncan ended his relationship with the label. In 2006, she served as the opening act at the CMA Music Festival, singing the national anthem and continuing to perform the following day.

Records Nashville after finishing fifth in the competition. Her first solo song, “When I Said I Would,” was released by the label in August 2008 and peaked at No. 48 on the country music charts in the United States of America.

The second song, “The Bed You Made,” was released in December 2008, although it did not reach the Top 40. The third song, “Skinny Dippin,” was released in July 2009 and debuted at No. 60 on the Billboard Hot 100 before climbing to No. 48. When it came to Christmas, the band released a holiday digital single in November 2008, which was a cover version of the Mariah Carey song “All I Want for Christmas Is You.

” In December 2008, a digital EP titled Selections From Right Road Now was made available for download. Due to the underwhelming popularity of Duncan’s singles, the album Right Road Now was originally scheduled for release in May 2009 but was postponed due to a lack of interest in the songs. On April 20, 2010, the album was made available digitally and through Amazon.com as a compact CD, as well.

A version of Duncan’s song “So Sorry Mama” can be heard in the 2011 film Footloose, as well as on the film’s soundtrack. She collaborated with John Shanks and Gordie Sampson on the song “So Sorry Mama,” which she sang and co-wrote. On her Right Road Now CD, which was published by Warner Brothers in 2010, she included the song “So Sorry Mama.”

Duncan released a new track titled “That’s How You Make Love” on July 31, 2012, which may be heard below. Duncan formed the band Post Monroe with Ashlee Hewitt and Shelby McLeod in 2016, but the trio disbanded in late 2017 after Shelby decided to leave the group. Duncan competed as a contestant on the CBS reality television series Survivor: South Pacific, where he represented the Savaii tribe, beginning in September 2011.

Duncan and Keith Tollefson developed a deep and intimate relationship during the course of the game, and the two eventually partnered up with Jim Rice and another pair from the tribe, Ozzy Lusth and Elyse Umemoto, early on in the game. Upon the insistence of Rice, Duncan assisted in the assassination of Umemoto in order to limit Lusth’s authority.

The former Savaii tribe was betrayed by former tribemate John Cochran at the time of the merger, which resulted in the entire former Savaii tribe being voted out one by one. Duncan was voted out of the tribe on Day 27; the following day, she and Dawn Meehan were defeated in the Redemption Island fight against former tribemate Lusth.

Career

The season’s ninth-place finisher, Duncan was the fourth member of the jury, and she was later one of the six jury members that voted for Sophie Clarke to be named the season’s overall winner. More recently, Duncan was selected as the sixth most attractive female participant in Survivor history by viewers in the official edition of CBS Watch magazine marking the show’s 15th anniversary, which was published in 2011.

Shayne Austin, a crucial witness, and suspect in the murder of Holly Bobo, a cousin of country singer Whitney Duncan, committed suicide. Austin was a major witness and suspect in the death of Holly Bobo. Bobo, a 20-year-old nursing student from Darden, Tenn., went missing from her family’s house on April 13, 2011, according to authorities.

A little more than three years after her disappearance, the remains of Bobo were discovered in the woods by two guys on the lookout for ginseng; DNA testing revealed that the remains were in fact those of Bobo. So far, two individuals have been charged in the case: Zachary Adams, who has been charged with first-degree felony murder and extremely aggravated kidnapping, and Jason Wayne Autry, who has been charged with both first-degree felony murder and especially aggravated kidnapping.

Because of his promise to testify against Autry and Adams, Austin was initially granted immunity in March 2014, one week after Adams was indicted. Austin had not been indicted at the time of the original offer of immunity. Although the offer was initially accepted, it was later withdrawn after the district attorney determined that Austin was not being forthcoming or truthful in his testimony. He committed suicide while traveling out of state.

“This is obviously a devastating loss for the Austin family, and they are over themselves with grief,” Austin’s attorney, Luke Evans, says of the death. “It’s regrettable that the government intervened and created claims that were complete without foundation. Individuals were compelled to live with those claims… in the shadow of those allegations, Austin maintained that he was immune not only from being found guilty of a criminal but also from being charged with a crime, according to Evans’s account.

It’s something he’s maintained from the beginning: he had nothing to do with the unfortunate events that befell Ms. Bobo. In addition to the allegations against Adams, his younger brother, Dylan Adams, was arrested and charged with tampering with evidence in the Bobo case in September of this year. Jeffrey and Mark Pearcy, who are brothers, were also detained in May and charged with tampering with evidence and being an accessory after the fact of the crime.

According to investigators, a friend of Jeffrey Pearcy’s said that he showed her a video of Bobo tied up and weeping. Duncan posted the news of Austin’s death on her Facebook page, expressing her condolences to the family and mentioning that she and Austin were in the same third-grade class together, according to Duncan. The fact that Duncan believes Austin was a contributing factor to the murder of her dear cousin is obvious from the statement she released. In her words, “he’s about to discover just how hot Hell can get.”

“I, for one, am relieved that he will not be able to take another innocent life.” Whitney and Keith did not expect to fall in love on the show, but they did, and it was a wonderful surprise “Us Weekly has obtained exclusive information from a source. “She is divorced and has never lied to her ex-husband about her attraction to Keith. She revealed this to him the day after she returned from Survivor.

Whitney and her family have been through a very difficult year.” Whitney Duncan knew she was taking a bet on love when she first met her husband, and she was right. And that there was a very real possibility that she would fall too hard and end up hurting herself. In spite of this, she dived in with both feet, conveying the exact message she is expressing with her fresh new song “Heartbreaker.” A Nashville dream team — Hillary Lindsey, Barry Dean, and the late Andrew Dorff — wrote the song, which was directed by Jacob Moyer, who also directed the video.

Because of the COVID-19 epidemic, season 41 of Survivor has been postponed. To fill the void, EW is looking back at the show’s history. We sent out a Survivor Quarantine Questionnaire to a group of former players, asking them to fill it out with their opinions on their time on the program as well as updates on what they’ve been up to since they left the show.

Weekly, a different player’s responses will be posted on EW’s website. Oh, how the course of Survivor history could have been so different. Following Savaii’s defeat in the first immunity challenge on Survivor: South Pacific, two names began to circulate around the camp as potential candidates to be voted out: Semhar Tadesse and… John Cochran.

The tribe ultimately chose Semhar, but had Ozzy Lusth been successful in convincing the other tribe members to vote differently, not only would Cochran not have been able to flip sides later on (dooming Savaii to be Pagonged after the merge), but the law student also would not have been brought back three seasons later for Survivor: Caramoan, where he was victorious in a unanimous vote.

That initial Tribal vote continues to plague the Savaii people, even decades after the merger. Whitney Duncan can attest to this. When questioned about her biggest regret from the game, she gives a straightforward response.” she exclaims. “Sorry for the inconvenience, but it’s true! Due to his overwhelming support, I pushed to keep him in the game, and that came back to bite me in the shin later on!” The Amazing Race, and Say Yes to the Dress, take a look back at her Survivor experience, including the highs and lows.
