Twenty One Pilots’ Joseph is best known for his work as the band’s founder and lead vocalist/songwriter. Joseph came up with the concept and founded the band with high school buddies Nick Thomas and Chris Salih in 2009. In the same year, the three-piece published an album. In 2011, Thomas and Salih left the band to pursue other opportunities, and Joseph was replaced by fellow bandmate Josh Dun to form the current lineup.
