Toni Braxton was born in Severn, Maryland, on October 7, 1967, to Michael and Evelyn Braxton. She is the daughter of Michael and Evelyn Braxton. Her father was a priest, and as a result, she was raised in a very religious household that was really rigid. Beginning at a young age at their father’s church, Braxton and her four sisters began to sing in the choir.
