Timothee Chalamet was born on 25 December 1995 in Manhattan, New York , United States. His early schooling was completed from Fiorello H. LaGuardia High School of Music & Art and Performing Arts. His dad’s name is Marc Chalamet and he’s an editor for the UNICEF. His mum’s name is Nicole Flender (a real estate agent at The Corcoran Group).He has an older sister called Pauline who’s a French actor and lives in Paris.
He’s half-French from his dad’s side and half-American Jewish from his mother’s side. Filmmaker Rodman Flender is his maternal uncle, television producer and writer Amy Lippman is his aunt, and late screenwriter Harold Flender was his maternal grandfather.
While in high school, he had been accepted into Fiorello H. LaGuardia High School of Music & Art and Performing Arts, which spurred his interest in acting at a young age. After graduating from college in 2013, he enrolled into Columbia University after the guidance of Claire Danes, and has been moved to NYU Gallatin School of Individualized Study after a year.

Timothée Chalamet started his acting career as a child artist looking in several of advertisements and also acted in both horror short films, ‘Sweet Tooth’ and ‘Clown’, in 2008.In 2009, he made his television debut playing with murder victim Eric Foley from the episode ‘Pledge’ of this long-running television show ‘Law & Order’, followed by a minor part in the made-for-television movie ‘Loving Leah’. He made his stage debut in 2011, playing 12 years old sexually interested boy Nicholas from the Off-Broadway drama ‘The Talls’, which is a coming-of-age comedy set in the 1970s. He returned to point in February 2016 after being handpicked by playwright and director John Patrick Shanley and producer Scott Rudin to play Jim Quinn from the autobiographical play’Prodigal Son’ at Manhattan Theatre Club. His portrayal of a young Shanley, a misfit Bronx child in a prestigious New Hampshire prep school set in 1963, earned rave reviews from critics and won him several awards and nominations.
In 2016, he played with the troubled student Billy opposite Lily Rabe from the independent film’Miss Stevens’. Comparing him to James Dean, Stephen Holden of’The New York Times’ said that he did not find a better performance of this climactic speech from’Death of a Salesman’.
His breakthrough role was starring as Elio Perlman, a 17-year-old Italian boy in the 1980s who falls in love with his dad’s assistant Oliver, at the 2017 coming-of-age drama movie’Call Me by Your Name’.
