Shekhar Suman was born on June 14, 1954, in India. He is an Indian actor and television personality. He had been born at a Kayastha family in Bihar. His real date of birth was contested to be much sooner than quoted. His college’Patliputra School’ has generated records to indicate he was born in 1954.
He had been born to Phani Bhushan Prasad and Usha Prasad and has three sisters. His dad was a well-known surgeon and Bihar Government’s former Director-in-Chief of the Health Services. He’s married to Alka Suman because in 1983 and the couple was blessed with two sons named Aayush and Adhyayan Suman. His son Aayush died by a heart disease very young age of 11. His younger son Adhyayan Suman is a Bollywood actor.
Career
He began his career as a television actor in a serial Wah Janab. He moved on to movies but didn’t enjoy much success as a celebrity. His picture debut was in Shashi Kapoor’s Utsav. Though his performance was appreciated by the critics, the film was a commercial failure.

He made his debut in singing with a music record ‘Kuch Khwaab Aise’ that was a selection of 8 love ballads. Aadesh Shrivastava’s written music for the record and Shyam Raj was the lyric writer. He had been seen in reality TV series’Raaz Pichhle Janam Ka’ in 2009. This series was based on a life regression of the past. He was a judge on’Lux Perfect Bride’. He had also attempted in politics. He dropped Loksabha Election against BJP contender Shatrughan Sinha in 2009.
He had been featured in films like Bhoomi, Chaloo Movie, Ek Se Badhkar Ek, Chor Machaaye Shor, Insaaf Apne Lahoo Se, Professor Ki Padosan, Ranbhoomi, Tridev, Anubhav, Utsav, etc. He has also worked as a manager for a feature film titled’Heartless’.
