Paul Brandt Wiki/Bio

Paul Brandt was born on July 21, 1972 as Paul Renee Belobersycky in Calgary, Alberta, Canada. He is a well-known playwright, actor and producer, Paul Brandt: Leavin’ (2004) and Open Road: Paul Brandt (2015). Since 22 February 1997, he has been married to Elizabeth Peterson. They’ve got two kids.

When Paul Brandt was born in 1996, he followed the steps of classic country crowners like George Strait and Randy Travis, a style that brought him to the top of the country charts in both America and Canada. “My Heart has a history” and “I Do” in both countries reached the country of top ten, starting their careers with a bang. Singles did not perform in the south of the border, but Brandt was the number one hit in Canada when he adapted sluggishly to modern sounds. Although he did not get many hits in the 2000s, he kept stuck in his homeland and turned into an institution that set the stage for a business comeback in the mid-2010s.

Paul Brandt, born in Calgary, Alberta and raised in Airdrie, sang gospel music and was a kid of guitar. He started playing local talent contests during high school and singing his own songs. Most of his original material was inspired directly by neo-traditionalists such as Dwight Yoakam and George Strait. Instead of completing his country music career, he decided to study nursing and college. Brandt has been studying at the Alberta Children’s Hospital for two years as a paediatric nurse. However, he continued to compete for local talent and placed himself in every event.

At the contest, Brandt won the first prize for “Calm before the Storm” for Best Original Canadian Country Song and was the best performer. Several insiders in the Nashville music community monitored the competition for SOCAN and Warner Bros. expressed an interest in signing the singer. A demo tape of Brandt’s songs went to the Nashville office of Reprise. Reprise arranged to see Brandt’s showcase concert and the label signed the young singer after the show.

This Time Around didn’t create a hit despite the release of five singles. In 2007, Brandt came back with Risk, who saw his lead single, “Didn’t Even See the Dust,” rising to 31. Give it Away appeared in 2011 and reached a peak of 13 without a hit.

Three years later Brandt went back in the business with Borderlines and produced three top ten hits: “Forever Summer,” “Get a Bed” and “I’m an Open Road,” the Jess Moskaluke duet. In 2017, Brandt revitalised his career in the Canadian Country Music Hall of Fame and the western Hall of Fame. It released two EPs in 2018, starting with The Journey YYC, Vol. 1 in April.
