Miranda Leigh Lambert was born to Rick and Beverly Lambert on November 10, 1983, in Longview, Texas, USA. Her father was a cop who also sang in a local country rock band called ‘Contraband.’ She grew up in Lindale, where her mother ran a private investigation firm with whom her father later partnered. She is descended from English, Irish, and Native American ancestors.
Miranda competed in her first country music talent show when she was 10 years old and began professional singing while still in high school. She made her singing debut with the ‘Texas Pride Band,’ and she also sang for a house band in Longview, Texas, at Reo Palm Isle. She was influenced by legends such as Elvis Presley and Willie Nelson, both of whom began their careers in house bands.
Her professional career began with a performance at the ‘Johnnie High Country Music Revue’ in Arlington, Texas, which led to a recording session in Nashville, Tennessee. She did, however, state that she was not ready to begin recording at that time.
Her love of country music, which she grew up listening to in Texas, prompted her to request that her father teach her how to play the guitar. She soon began writing her own songs as well. She began performing country music in local restaurants in 2002. She then became a part of the Texas country music scene, with her parents’ full financial support. She finished second runner-up in a talent competition called ‘Nashville Star’ in 2003. During her audition, she drew the attention of Tracy Gershon, who later signed her to ‘Sony Records.’

Her third studio album, titled ‘Revolution,’ was released in 2009. She co-wrote 11 of the album’s 15 songs with fellow country singer Blake Shelton. The album’s second single, ‘White Liar,’ became her first song to reach the top five on the Billboard Hot Country Songs chart in the United States. Career
She toured 22 cities as part of her ‘Roadside Bars & Pink Guitars’ tour to promote her album. She also took part in the ‘Bonnaroo Music Festival.’ She received a Grammy Award in 2011 for ‘The House That Built Me,’ in the category of ‘Best Female Country Vocal Performance.’
‘Four the Record,’ her fourth studio album, was released in November 2011. Five of the album’s singles reached number one on the charts. During this time, she also performed 33 shows as part of her ‘Locked & Reloaded’ tour with Dierks Bentley.
Miranda formed the girl group ‘Pistol Annies,’ who released their first single, ‘Hell on Heels,’ in August 2011. Their album ‘Annie Up’ was a hit when it was released in 2013. In 2014, she released her fifth studio album, titled ‘Platinum.’ At the 2015 Grammy Awards, the album was named ‘Best Country Album.’
She made her first appearance outside of the United States and Canada in March 2016, when she toured England, Scotland, and Ireland with Dwight Yoakam, Thomas Rhett, and Ashley Monroe. The same year, her sixth album, ‘The Weight of These Wings,’ was released.
