Lauren Cohan Wiki/Bio
She was born in Philadelphia on January 7, 1982. Her ancestors are Irish, Scottish, and Norwegian.
She was born and raised in Cherry Hill, New Jersey, and spent a year in Georgia. Soon after she was born, her parents divorced. Her mother remarried when she was seven, and she adopted her stepfather’s surname, Cohan.
Because her stepfather was Jewish, she and her mother both converted to Judaism. When she was thirteen, she travelled to the United Kingdom and resided in Surrey.
Lauren, like every young girl in Jewish tradition, had a Bat Mitzvah ceremony. Her youngest half-sister is the youngest of her five half-siblings. They all went to the same school and grew up together.
She wanted to be a child psychiatrist when she was younger, but after completing her studies, she proceeded to the ‘University of Winchester’ to study English Literature and Drama. She co-founded a theatre group and performed plays in the community throughout her time at university.
Many people who came to see her plays quickly recognised her brilliance. She did, however, complete her education and graduate from university before working in London and Los Angeles. Lauren made her cinematic debut in the film “Casanova,” in which she played Sister Beatrice, a minor role.
