Kiki Dee Wiki/Bio
In the early 1960s, Kiki Dee started singing with a local band in Bradford. Her recording career started as a singer. For Dusty Springfield, she sang support vocals and was widely regarded by other singers, but she had not achieved solos in the UK for many years. In the USA, its style was admired and it was the first British artist to be signed in 1970 by Tamla Motown.
In the days before Radio 1 Kiki Dee performed regularly on the BBC radio and starred with a group of BBC2 singing songs, One More Time series. However, only after joining forces with Elton John and Rocket Records did she become a household name in the United Kingdom. Her main hits in 1974 were “I Got The Music In Me” and “Amoureuse” (1973).

She has released 40 singles, three EPs and 12 albums throughout her career.
