Kevin Durant was born in Washington, D.C., on September 29, 1988, to Wanda and Wayne Pratt. Durant’s father left the family when he was a boy, and Durant’s grandmother Barbara Davis adopted him after Wanda and Wayne split. By the age of 13, his father had re-entered his life and was accompanying him to basketball competitions around the world. Durant has two children, Tony and Rayvonne, as well as a niece, Brianna.
Durant and his siblings grew up on the suburbs of Washington, D.C., in Prince George’s County, Maryland.
