Katrina Elam can write and sing with wit and charm the contemporary country song, but when she began, she was your child singer everyday and she belt songs loudly. She decided, for some reason, to set up her performance at the 4-H talent show in Oklahoma. She was just nine and her mother cried her heartfelt delivery. Elam hurried to see her mother’s mistake and when the young singer found out that her performance drew her tears, she knew her call to music. She spent time on a karaoke machine and attended weddings and corporate events. By the time she was 15, she had been named the State Singer of the Year by the Country Music Association of Oklahoma and the Oklahoma Opry. When Reba McEntire and Vince Gill visited the state, they invited Elam and told Nashville that a superstar was waiting for the discovery in Oklahoma.
The American Country music singer and songwriter Katrina Ruth Elam (born 12 December 1983 in Bray, Oklahoma, USA). Signed in the Universal South records in 2004, she released a self-titled album that year, charted with No. 29 “No End in Sight” and the No. 59 “I Want a Cowboy” in the Billboard Hot Country Singles & Tracks (now Hot Country Songs) A third single, “Love Is,” came from a second unreleased album Turn Me Up at No. 47. In 2008, Elam left the label. Astrologers say that Sagittarius’ zodiac sign is an American country musician who made hit singles like “No End in Sight” and “I Want a Cowboy.”
Born in Bray, Oklahoma, Elam was 1,035 inhabitants. At the age of 9, she performed in a 4-H talent show. In 1998, the Oklahoma Country Music Association and the Rodeo Opry now named her female vocalist of the year. At the age of 16, Elam received a publishing contract. Her mother’s home school in her senior year was her busy writing and recording schedule.

The album reached No. 42 with the Top Country Chart of Billboard and No. 33 with the Top Heatseekers Chart. On Billboard Hot Country Songs, the first single, “No End in Sight,” reached No. 29. The follow-up single “I Want a Cowboy” on the same chart reached No. 59. Elam also toured with Keith Urban in 2004. Elam later toured with Rascal Flatts to promote her second album Turn Me Up, which was unreleased. “Love Is,” the album’s first single, peaked in 2006 at No. 47 on Billboard’s Hot Country Songs chart.
Another individual from the album, “Flat on the Floor,” finally peaked at No. 52. Later that year, Carrie Underwood includes a 2007 album version of the track Carnival Ride. In 2008, Elam left Universal South. Elam co-wrote the track “Change” on Play On’s 2009 Underwood album. “I Want a Cowboy” was covered by Reba McEntire on her 2009 album Keep on Loving You. Also, Elam co-wrote the 2011 single “Easy,” featuring Natasha Bedingfield, and the 2012 single “Say Goodnight” by Eli Young Band, co-written by John Paul White of The Civil Wars. In 2014 his single “Invisible” was co-written with Elam by Hunter Hayes.
In late 2010 the film Pure Country, titled Pure Country 2: The Gift, was followed by Elam. Elam’s “Dream Big” was released on radio by the end of 2010, and was the leading single of the film’s soundtrack, released on 8 February 2011.
