Jyotiraditya Scindia Wiki/Bio
Jyotiraditya Madhavrao Scindia is an Indian politician and a member of Congress party. He was born on January 1, 1971, to Madhav Rao Scindia (Maharaja of Gwalior). For Jyotiraditya education has always been very important. He’s also highly educated; he did his schooling from a renowned school of Dehradun, the Doon School.
He chased his graduation from the Harvard University in Economics and post-graduation (M.B.A.) in the Stanford Graduate School of Business. He got married to Priyadarshini Raje Scindia, the daughter of the royal family of Gaekwad Maratha in 1994. He’s the father of a son and a daughter.
Career
Jyotiraditya began his career in investment banking and private equity. He lost his father in a plane crash in 2001, then he joined politics to keep his father’s legacy. In the year 2002, he contested elections from Guna, Madhya Pradesh and since then he was elected four times. He became part of the council of ministers in 2007 and has been made the minister of Communication and Information Technology.
In 2009 he was made Minister of State for Commerce and Industry and in 2012 he became the Minister of State for Power. He’s one of the most abundant ministers of our nation. He has assets of almost 20000 crores as he is the sole inheritor of his father’s property.
Apart from Politics, Jyotiraditya was elected as president of the Madhya Pradesh Cricket Association (MPCA). He’s also been the president of the Board of Governors, Scindia School, Gwalior. Like his dad, Jyotiraditya has always focused more on public service and less on politics that according to him is extremely important for the growth of the nation.
