Jamyang Tsering Namgyal was born on Sunday, 4 August 1985 (age 34 years; as in 2019) in Matho Village, Ladakh. He got his essential instruction from the Central Institute of Buddhist Studies, Leh.

He pursed Bachelor of Arts from the University of Jammu. When Jamyang was in school, he was the President of the All Ladakh Student Association (ALSA) for a year.

Political career

Preceding joining governmental issues, he served All Ladakh Student Association, Jammu, in different limits and as President from 2011–12. Subsequent to joining legislative issues as individual from BJP, Leh, he filled in as Private Secretary to the Member of Parliament from Ladakh Shri Thupstan Chhewang. He challenged the appointment of Ladakh Autonomous Hill Development Council, Leh in 2015 from Martselang Constituency. He won with record edge to be chosen as Councilor in Ladakh Autonomous Hill Development Council, Leh. Later after the acquiescence of Dorjay Motup from the post of Chief Executive Councilor, Jamyang Tsering Namgyal was chosen as eighth Chief Executive Councilor to the Ladakh Autonomous Hill Development Council, Leh.

BJP had handled JTN from Ladakh Parliamentary Constituency on 29 March 2019. In the 2019 Elections to the Lok Sabha or House of the People of Indian Parliament, the deciding in favor of which occurred on 6 May 2019 and the checking was on 23 May 2019.
