Jacquees Wiki/Bio
Jacquees was born in Decatur, a city in the state of Georgia, on April 15, 1994. Along with his brothers and sisters, he was educated there. At age nine, after being influenced by the music of the Jacksons and the Temptations, he discovered his passion for singing and dancing. At first, however, he did not listen to their music; instead, the biographical television mini-seriesThe Jacksons: An American Dream’ and ‘The Temptations’ influenced him. He was also inspired as a child by the musical drama film,’ The Five Heartbeats’.
All by himself, with sufficient practice, he mastered his craft and never had a vocal coach. He also began writing songs in addition to singing, often with his peers, when he was only 12.
He grew up listening to Usher, Ginuwine, R. Kelly, Jodeci, Boyz II Men, and Hot Boys, as well as R&B and hip-hop stars. He also listened to a lot of Luther Vandross and Marvin Gaye’s classical music, as his mother liked those songs.
Jacquees, who would sing often while watching the films, was encouraged by his family and relatives. He participated in a talent show for the first time at Canby Lane Elementary School in Atlanta, Georgia, when he was in fifth grade. By performing Jackson 5’s ‘I Want You Back’, he secured 1st place.

He taught himself to sing when he was just nine years old after learning about the music of the Jacksons and the Temptations through television shows. He went on to compete in a variety of talent shows during his school days, winning trophies back-to-back each year. His professional career began slowly, and then developed very rapidly. Career
‘Krazy’ on the song. Before releasing his EP ’19’, which gave his career a jumpstart, he then made a series of mixtapes. He was inspired to work harder by appearing on Billboard charts, which eventually led to a record contract with Cash Money Records. He met Birdman, his idol, and collaborated with him on the Lost At Sea mixtape. He dreams of becoming the largest R&B artist ever with his encouragement. His debut album, ‘4275’, is currently being finalized. He revealed in a recent interview that he has auditioned for a few film roles and is all set to make his acting debut shortly.
In 2007, when he was introduced to Orlando Grind, who later became his boss, Jacquees began his professional career. Soon after, he attracted the attention of Lee and J. Dexx. Oh. Sims.
He played at local talent shows initially. Orlando finally introduced him to Russell’Block ‘Spencer,’ Block Entertainment’ founder and CEO. He began by working behind the scenes on the rap projects that Block was working on at the time.
Only after Block changed his attention to R&B and witnessed how talented he was did he get the chance to share his true talents. In 2009, he became more involved with the recording studio of Block Entertainment and collaborated with the American rapper T.I. The single ‘Krazy’ was released, which provided him with more exposure.
His first EP was originally released in 2009, titled ‘I Am Jacquees,’ but it was his next release that gave him attention. On August 11, 2011, his first mixtape,’ Round of Applause,’ for which he had a dedicated team behind him, was released. One year later, he released his second mixtape called ‘Fan Affiliated’ on August 29, 2012. His next mixtape, ‘Quemix,’ which came out on May 1, 2013, took him almost another year to release.
Jacquees independently released ’19’, his second extended play, on March 25, 2014. The EP consisted of 11 songs from a variety of stars from the music industry and featured guest appearances. He revealed on Twitter a few months later, on October 1, 2014, that he had signed a record deal with ‘Cash Money Records/Rich Gang’. However, on January 6, 2015, he released his next mixtape, ‘Quemix 2’, independently.
His first release from ‘Cash Money Records’ was the ‘Mood’ mixtape, which was made available on January 25, 2016 as a digital download. He went on to release two more mixtapes;’ Lost At Sea’ on May 27, 2016, and ‘Since You Playin’ on January 25, 2017, from the same record label. He announced in mid-2016 that from ‘Cash Money Records’ he would soon release his debut album’ 4275 ‘; however, the release was postponed to early 2017. It is expected to feature Chris Brown on the LP.
