Darcey Bussell, full name Darcey Andrea Bussell, is a British ballet dancer and late-century celebrity. She was born on April 27, 1969, in London, England. She was one of the youngest dancers to serve as a lead dancer in the Royal Ballet of London, and her performances were known for their fire and passion.
Bussell began attending White Lodge, the Royal Ballet’s lower school, when he was 13 years old. She had studied ballet since she was a tiny girl, but she began her formal training later than the majority of the students at the school, and as a result, she first struggled with the intense exercises and dance routines.
