DaBaby Wiki/Bio

Jonathan Lyndale Kirk is an American rapper and composer who is better known by his stage name DaBaby. His best-known work is his successful first studio album, “Baby on Baby.” DaBaby was born in Cleveland, Ohio, but grew up in Charlotte, North Carolina. He was the youngest of the three kids his parents had. He got in trouble with the law when he was a child. He went to “Zebulon B. Vance High School” in Charlotte. Since he was a child, he has been interested in music, but he didn’t decide to become a rapper until 2014.

Soon after, he started rapping under the name “Baby Jesus.” After putting out his first mixtape, “Nonfiction,” in 2015, DaBaby became well-known. But it wasn’t until 2016 when his single “Light Show” came out that he really got noticed. The song got millions of views on sites that let people listen to music online. Over the next few years, DaBaby kept putting out mixtapes on a regular basis. The series of recordings called “Baby Talk” became very popular with the general public. Early in 2019, DaBaby said he had signed a record deal with “Interscope Records.” In March 2019, his first album on a major label, called “Baby on Baby,” came out. The record sold very well and was praised all over the world. Dababy is 29 years old.

He was born on December 22, 1991, making him 29 years old. His real name is Jonathan Lyndale Kirk, and he was born under the sign of the Capricorn. Kirk was also born in Cleveland, Ohio, and is a citizen of the United States of America. In the same way, he is African American and a Christian. Kirk was born in Cleveland, Ohio. In 1999, when he was eight years old, his family moved to Charlotte, North Carolina, where he has lived for most of his life.

He has two brothers who are older. He also says that his brothers have influenced the music he likes. In the same way, he listened to artists like Eminem, Kanye West, 50 Cent, and Lil Wayne as he was growing up. But when he was young, he was surrounded by bad people from the streets. As a teenager, he even did some small crimes. He also often went to the local police station for things like driving with a fake license and having marijuana.

Kirk also finished high school. His education history shows that he went to Vance High School. He also went to the University of North Carolina at Greensboro for two years. He did not finish school, though, because he only went to school to please his parents.

When he was in his early 20s, he began to think about becoming a musician. Before that, he made money by doing strange jobs, some of which were against the law. In 2014, when he decided to give up a life of crime, he went through a huge change in his mind. He also learned more about what he had to do as a part of society. He said that he put himself into music so that his words and poems could help people.

He was first known as “Baby Jesus,” but he changed it to “DaBaby” because it was offensive to Christians. In December 2014, he began making his first mixtape. After two years of working different jobs to make money, DaBaby decided to spend all of his free time writing music. He worked on his first mixtape, “Nonfiction,” for most of 2014. It came out in 2015, but it didn’t get much attention. He then put out “God’s Work,” his second mixtape, and “Baby Talk,” his third, but neither of these helped him get a big fan base. “Billion Dollar Baby” and “Back on My Baby Jesus Sh*t” were two more mixtapes that DaBaby put out. For a while, he went by the stage name “Baby Jesus,” and these mixtapes caught the attention of Arnold Taylor, the President of the South Coast Music Group.

Career

Arnold signed DaBaby to a record deal, and he helped him get gigs in clubs all over North Carolina. In 2018, DaBaby’s mixtape “Blank Blank,” which was released by Roc Nation, helped him get a deal with Interscope Records worth several million dollars.

On September 27, 2019, DaBaby’s second studio album, “Kirk,” debuted at number one on the US Billboard 200 Chart, and its lead single, “Intro,” reached number thirteen on the US Billboard Hot 100 Chart. In early 2020, DaBaby was nominated for Best Rap Song and Best Rap Performance for his song “Suge.”  DaBaby’s most recent single was “No Dribble,” which came out on July 27, 2020. It was later added to an improved version of “Blame It on Baby” that came out on August 4th.

After that, Kirk signed with Interscope in January 2019 and started his own record label, Billion Dollar Baby Entertainment. Later in the year, he was on a number of hit songs, such as “Cash Shit” by Megan Thee Stallion and “Baby” by Quality Control. Kirk, the name of his last name, was also the name of her second album. This album came out on September 27 and went straight to the top of the US Billboard 200 chart.

Kirk has also been in a number of music videos, including Post Malone’s “Enemies,” which reached number 16 on the Billboard Hot 100. Kirk’s song “Suge” was also nominated for Best Rap Performance and Best Rap Song at the 52nd Annual Grammy Awards. Some claims on the internet say that DaBaby was once married to his high school girlfriend Ashley Kirk. Someone saw DaBaby’s high school yearbook, where one student wrote, “His wife, Ashley Kirk, has been the most inspiring person in his life.” This made the rumors start to spread. DaBaby said that the girl was his best friend and that she often let him borrow her car and helped him with his schoolwork.

A daughter was born in 2017 to DaBaby and a woman named Meme. Nova is his other daughter. She was born in 2020, but no one knows who her mother is.

In 2018, DaBaby and his family were shopping at a Walmart in Huntersville, North Carolina, when they were approached by two men with guns. One of the men, Jalyn Craig, 19, died after being shot in the abdomen during the fight. DaBaby admitted to being involved in the incident and said that the evidence from the security cameras would show that he was acting in self-defense. In June 2019, he was found guilty of hiding a gun and given a year of unsupervised probation.

In early 2020, he was questioned as part of a robbery investigation in Miami. Members of his gang were said to have robbed and hurt a music promoter who owed DaBaby $10,000. The victim is said to have lost $80, a credit card, and an iPhone 7. Investigators got a warrant for DaBaby’s arrest in Texas because of a battery charge. He was held in Miami. In connection with the heist in Miami, he was charged with violence, but after 48 hours in jail, he was let go.

In 2020, DaBaby hit a female fan on the way to the stage at a concert in Tampa, Florida. This made the crowd boo him. He left the venue without singing a single song, and he later said that he hit the woman because she held her phone too close to his face while recording with the flash on. “I’m sorry if the person on the other end of that phone’s flashlight was a woman,” he said. But remember that the flash was so close to me that I couldn’t see you.”

Fans were surprised when DaBaby played on the Ciroc Stage on the second-to-last day of Rolling Loud Miami. First, he got in trouble for bringing Tory Lanez out to perform their new song “SKAT” right after Megan Thee Stallion left the stage. (In 2020, Megan said that Tory shot her in the feet.) After DaBaby and Lanez worked together, he and Meg got into a fight on Twitter. After the guest appearance, DaBaby was shocked again for making homophobic comments during songs.

He told the guests, “Put your cell phone lighter up if you didn’t come today with HIV, AIDS, or any of the other horrible sexually transmitted diseases that will kill you in two to three weeks.” “Ladies, get on the phone if your puss smells like water. If you’re not sucking dick in the parking lot, put your cell phone lighter up.” Clips from the Rolling Loud show quickly went viral on social media, and fans and celebrities like Dua Lipa, Elton John, and Questlove were very upset by what they saw.

All of his scheduled appearances at Austin City Limits, Governor’s Ball, Day N Vegas, iHeartRadio Music Festival, Can’t Wait Live!, Music Midtown, and Parklife Festival have been canceled. DaBaby said on Twitter that his feelings were “insensitive” in an apology that seemed fake to many of his followers. Later, he said that his comments had been “digested” wrongly in another post. The artist then said things like, “I’m sorry I’m me.” Sir Elton John, Dua Lipa, Madonna, and Questlove have all spoken out against the rapper’s bigoted rant onstage about HIV/AIDS, gay people, and women. Miley Cyrus took a different approach. She sent the rapper a direct message on Instagram and wrote an Instagram post asking for “forgiveness and compassion.”
