D.B. Woodside Wiki/Bio

David Bryan Woodside was born on July 25, 1969, in Queens, New York, in the Jamaica section. In addition to his undergraduate degree from the State University of New York at Albany, he also holds an MFA in acting from Yale University. During the years 2008-2010, Woodside was linked to actress Golden Brooks. A daughter was born in 2009 to the couple.

The Temptations bassist Melvin Franklin, Robin Wood from Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Malcolm Franks from Single Ladies, Dr. Joseph Prestridge from Parenthood, and the angel Amenadiel from Lucifer are some of his most well-known performances from television. Woodside made his television debut as Aaron Mosley in Murder One’s second season, back in 1996.

Following the termination of that show, he appeared as a guest star on a number of other shows, including The Practice, Snoops, The Division, and Finally and Forever. In the final season of JAG, he played FBI agent Rod Benton as a guest star. He played Sunnydale High School Principal Robin Wood in 14 episodes of Buffy the Vampire Slayer’s last season from 2002 to 2003.

He then landed the role of pragmatic Chief of Staff Wayne Palmer on the Fox series 24. First appearing as a guest star in episodes 1–2 and 14–18 of the show’s fifth season, he returned to reprise his role as President of the United States in the sixth season as a series regular.

In the CSI episode “Harvest” from 2004, Woodside played Marlon Warlord. In Grey’s Anatomy’s 4th season episode “Forever Young,” he played Marcus, a character he played as a guest star in 2007. Also, in the series finale of USA Network’s Monk, Woodside appeared as a doctor. On the CW’s Hellcats, he played a recurrent character. He made his acting debut in the first season of the American drama Lie to Me, which aired in 2009.

On the VH1 show Single Ladies, he played Malcolm Franks, Keisha Greene’s boyfriend, opposite Lisa Raye McCoy. He debuted as Jeff Malone on Suits in June of that year. His role as Amenadiel in the Fox/Netflix series Lucifer debuted in 2016. Entertainment Tonight’s DB Woodside spilled some details about the upcoming Lucifer episodes. Season 6 will have a significant and heartbreaking moment, according to the actor, but viewers should have faith and stick around for it.

At the end of Season 5 Part B, something surprising will happen that will leave everyone in tears. DB God’s arrival may be centered around Lucifer and Amendiel’s father’s issues, according to Woodside. A little more directly, he said it’s not always a good idea to avoid pain, emotions, and insights in order to get rid of them. A few days ago, production on season 6 of The Walking Dead came to an end, and the cast bid their final goodbyes to the show after six seasons.

Tom Ellis, who recently wrapped production on the supernatural drama Lucifer, came to Instagram to share a picture from the set of the film. For him, the day had finally come. He had written a note to himself to that effect. Six years ago, I embarked on an adventure with some of the most incredible people, and today, we bid each other farewell.’ Thank you to the whole cast and crew for their contributions to making Lucifer a reality on screen.

A new season of the Netflix series Lucifer will premiere next month, and both the cast and audience are preparing to be moved to tears as a result. Despite the show being canceled and subsequently resurrected for Netflix, the Devil and his cronies will be making one final appearance before being written off forever. A final message from D.B. Woodside comes just before the series comes to a conclusion.

Give Me My Remote recently caught up with D.B. Woodside, who portrays Lucifer’s celestial brother Amenadiel on Netflix after the series aired on Fox. Season 4 of Netflix’s Lucifer has been a huge success, with the drama attracting a devoted following and quickly becoming one of the service’s most popular shows. Woodside expressed his hopes for Lucifer’s future in an interview on the show’s legacy: As soon as Fox made the decision to terminate Lucifer after three seasons, Netflix renewed it for a fourth season, and soon after, Netflix ordered a fifth and final season.

Netflix chose to give fans one more surprise by renewing Lucifer for one final season to bid goodbye to the supernatural series, even though it appeared to be its end. Production on the show came to an end earlier this year, and it was an emotional time for everyone involved. What will happen to Lucifer’s family and friends if the Devil becomes God and rules the world in Lucifer Season 6? Whether or not it happens is anyone’s guess, but it will be exciting to see in the final season.

There will be a number of references to the series’ past, such as Lucifer’s first-episode mentor, as well as characters from previous seasons. While the final season’s content is still a mystery, it’s safe to say that many people will tune in to watch how it all ends. In addition to the many new and returning shows that will release new seasons this year, Lucifer’s Season 6 premieres on Netflix on September 10.

During the seventh and final season of Buffy the Vampire Slayer, African-American actor D.B. Woodside played Principal Robin Wood; in the blockbuster Fox action-thriller 24, he played Wayne Palmer.

David Bryan Woodside, a New Yorker by birth, fell into acting by mistake when he was a teenager. He was a star high school football player who was forced to leave the game due to an injury and was seeking a new hobby. Woodside stumbled upon a rehearsal for the musical Brigadoon while passing down a school corridor and decided to drop by on the spur of the moment. There was no turning back now. After completing his undergrad at the State University of New York Albany (where he acquired his B.A. ), Woodside went on to study theatre at Yale University School of Drama, where he received his MFA in dramatic writing.

Management helped him obtain roles as Melvin Franklin (Temptations bassist-singer), Forrest (low-budget 1998 cop drama Scarred City), and Anthony Hilliard (BET original telemovie After All) after he signed with a manager. Romeo Must Die, a big-screen MMA reimagining of Shakespeare’s Romeo and Juliet, features him as Colin in Andrzej Bartkowiak’s adaptation.

Buffy’s role came to Woodside before he chose to accept it; he later remembered his manager calling on multiple times and asking that he audition for the part. Woodside accepted the role. Woodside initially turned down the first two roles, but after the third, he reluctantly accepted and “came in love with the part.” As it turned out, Woodside’s storyline was cut short after the third season (in 2003).

In a BBC interview, when thinking on the end of the series, he said, “It was heartbreaking to watch these young men who had grown up together and had spent the last seven years of their lives together apart. There was a whole clan that worked hard and loved hard like many other families. During the last season, they were amazing and made me feel like a part of the family.

As a result, there were many tears and hugs exchanged, but they both agreed that they needed to move on.” Woodside went on to play a variety of parts, including “stoner” Martin, Jamie Harris’ best friend in the quirky, low-budget romantic comedy Easy, played by Marguerite Moreau (2003). Woodside, on the other hand, rose to prominence as Wayne Palmer, President David Palmer’s brother and chief of staff, on the TV show 24, beginning with the third season (2003-2004). A few cameos brought him back in season five before his character was elected president in the show’s chaotic sixth season, which aired the following year.
