Bailey Bryan, a pop singer/songwriter with R&B, hip hop and country music, stands out with her complex wordplay and throaty voice. Her early work, such as “Own It” in 2017, had a lilt of acoustics. Later releases like the Perspective EP 2019 and the “play w/me” and “Roster” the following year were polished and up-to-date, fit for Post Malone, Kehlani and Ella Mai. Bryan was born in Sequim, Washington, in 1998 and became interested in music. She started to perform in church when she was seven, and at the age of 12 she began to write her own songs. Becki Devries, who worked in music publishing and eventually became her mentor, discovered her.
