Arjun Das is a Tamil film actor from India. He is most recognised for his portrayal as Anbu in the 2019 film Kaithi and for his bass-baritone voice.
Arjun made his acting debut in Perumaan, a suspense thriller (2012). Following appearances in a few other films and shorts, he starred in Lokesh Kanagaraj’s Kaithi as the film’s antagonist, a cocaine-addicted gang leader. The actor has indicated in interviews that he left a well-compensated career as a banker in Dubai to pursue film prospects in Chennai. Arjun recalls being obese. He reduced approximately 36 kilos (79 lb), at which point he chose to pursue a career in Tamil movies. He made his feature film debut in 2012 with the independent film Perumaan.

The Times of India remarked of Arjun’s character in the film, “Arjun makes a confident debut.” [3] Following his work on the Netflix-featured independent film and Atlee’s debut effort, Andhaghaaram, Arjun Das served as a radio jockey for Radio One 94.3FM, hosting the Drive programme. Citing Dhanush as his inspiration, he states that while he is not the sort to meticulously prepare for any scene, he did perform basic research to immerse himself in the character’s skin, with an emphasis on drug-related behaviour. Arjun has expressed his gratitude to him for casting him in the character of Das in Master, for which he was called a few days after the film’s start.
