Later, he worked as a news journalist for the television network ‘MSNBC.’ The Beat with Ari Melber,’ which he began hosting in 2017, has proven to be one of the most popular shows in the network’s history and has garnered numerous awards. When he was working there, he dabbled in investigative journalism, and he was commended for his efforts. ‘The Atlantic’ and the ‘New York Daily News’ are only two of the major news publications for whom he writes a regular column each week. Ariel Naftali Melber’s parents, Barbara and Daniel Melber, welcomed him into the world on March 31, 1980, in Seattle, Washington, United States. He is descended from European Jews, according to his mother’s side. In the Second World War, his grandparents had survived the so-called “Holocaust” of the Jewish people. They managed to make their way to the United States and eventually settled in Seattle.

As a result, Ari grew up in a Jewish family from a middle class background. He went to a day school that was predominantly Jewish. Growing up, he was subjected to a fair amount of bullying because he belonged to a minority group. He was, on the other hand, a strong academic performer who received regularly high grades.

As a child, he had acquired a fascination with the criminal justice system. When he was in third grade and attending a local school, he was cast in a play about the court system, which he performed in.

However, by the time Ari Melber was in high school, he had developed a strong interest in political science and policy. Eventually, he was elected as class president. This programme, he said, was a moderately patriotic one, and he acknowledged that it marked the beginning of his engagement in the political system.

He opted to pursue a degree in political science and enrolled at the ‘University of Michigan.’ He has a bachelor’s degree in political science under his belt. Following graduation from college, he followed the same career path as the majority of political science graduates, working as a legislative assistant for Senator Maria Cantwell.

Later, he enrolled at ‘Cornell Law School,’ where he received his Juris Doctorate. By that time, he had developed a strong interest in journalism. He was the editor of the ‘Cornell Journal of Law and Public Policy,’ which was published by Cornell University. Following the completion of his Juris Doctorate, he worked as an intern in the office of a well-known public defender in New York City’s Lower Manhattan. Ari Melber made his way into the office of Floyd Abrams, a well-known New York City lawyer who specialised in constitutional law, also known as the ‘First Amendment.’ As a result of his work in the country, he discovered numerous serious flaws in the criminal justice system. Because of the racial bias in the law and order system, he saw that many black men were being victimised by the system.

Ari Melber began his legal career in 2009 as an associate at a large New York law firm. He specialised on copyright lawsuits as well as the ‘First Amendment,’ among other things. While working for Abrams, he learnt the ins and outs of the legal profession and developed into a highly capable attorney. In addition, he honed his journalistic abilities. Abrams later stated that Ari possessed exceptional clarity of thought and precision in writing, both of which were characteristics of a brilliant lawyer.

He began his full-time legal career as a young lawyer and worked on numerous high-profile cases in the process. Meanwhile, he was also writing political essays for magazines like “The Atlantic,” “The Nation,” “Reuters,” and “Politico,” among other publications. A short time later, he was approached by the news organization ‘MSNBC,’ who invited him to appear as a guest host on their station.  Eventually, he was approached by the channel and offered a regular hosting position. He accepted the position.

As the host of the television program ‘The Beat with Ari Melber,’ he has achieved tremendous success. It had once attracted more viewers to ‘MSNBC’ at that exact time slot than any other show in the network’s history, according to the network’s records.

His involvement with the “Mueller Probe,” which is looking into Russian intervention in the 2016 presidential election in the United States, was also noteworthy. Trump’s meddling in the “Mueller Probe” was the subject of an interview with Corey Lewandowski, former campaign manager for Donald Trump’s presidential campaign. When Corey denied that Trump played a part, Ari insisted that he was telling the truth. An investigation by the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) was begun immediately.

In later reports, Melber stated that Lewandowski’s statement was untrue. A congressional impeachment hearing was held in September 2019 during which Lewandowski was questioned about his erroneous response.
